Why

The RAI organisation has a strategic vision in which customer convenience is the top priority. They decided to create a future-proof exhibitor portal to provide convenience for their clients. The portal is based on customer feedback, thorough client research and RAI’s market expertise.

What

RAI set out to start with solving the most imminent problems their clients were facing: ordering exhibition equipment and organising their presence at an event. RAI wanted a scalable platform that is able to provide an omnichannel experience and is prepared for the complexity of B2B processes.

Alleviating the administrative burden on the RAI organisation was another important goal of the new platform. The RAI exhibitor services team was constantly flooded with emails and phone calls. With the customer portal, the self-service level for clients increased significantly, thus unburdening the customer service and sales department.

Next to the transactional part of the buying process, the customer portal helps exhibitors throughout the entire customer journey. Helping them organise and plan for an event, supporting them automatically in the lead time towards an event and servicing them during the actual event. With this customer portal RAI Amsterdam is putting their customers’ needs first. The portal also supports RAI in becoming an efficient organisation that is committed to their clients’ success.

Together with the RAI team, Evident designed, built and implemented the customer portal based on Intershop within time and budget.

Whether it involves events, conferences or theatre productions. The RAI Convention Centre accommodates approximately 500 events a year, attracting some 1.8 million visitors.
